Licensed Assistant Manager-Full Time

The Assistant Manager leads in the Store Manager's absence or in support of the Store Manager and acts as a business owner within the marketplace and LensCrafters organization. Represents LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community and delivers key performance metrics.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Customer Count, Comp Growth; Increased Traffic; Store Operating Profitability: Continuity of Care, Exam Growth & Retention Goals; Net Promoter Score; Current year objectives.
Demonstrates understanding of retail business and the capability to transfer knowledge to superior sales and business results. Learns and understands the competition and market trends.
Supports store business plans to maximize sales and profit, leverages strengths, and addresses recovery opportunities.
Partners with the store manager to lead a team through strong knowledge and skills.
Provides training and guidance to team members.
Delivers clear and constructive feedback in a timely manner.Informs the store manager of any situation that may require development or disciplinary action for others.
Supports recruiting, helps select high-caliber team members, and creates a talent pipeline.
Follows guidelines to staff the store optimally.
Shows great pride in the store appearance and executes visual directives.
Strives to maintain positive working relationships with doctors.
Adheres to Company policies and procedures and ensures the team complies. Meets or exceeds all goals.
Anticipates problems before they occur: explores underlying reasons. and root cause; strives for long-term solutions to problems.
Performs and understands administrative duties.
Maintains a safe working environment for all.
Works a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Under a current and valid state Opticianry license, performs the following:
Provides expertise and product knowledge on lens choices based on the patient's vision needs and doctor's prescription.
Adjusts and/or repairs eyewear.
Presents and dispenses eyewear, creating a lasting impression.
Performs accurate digital measurements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School. graduate or equivalent
Current and valid state opticianry license
One year(s) plus management/supervisory experience with direct reports
Knowledge of retail operations, processes, and policies
Strong basic math skills
Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
Must have a strong command of the English language for all written correspondence and oral communication.
Strong Communication and listening skills.
Demonstrated high-level selling skills.
Proven ability to problem-solve.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS;
College degree or equivalent.
Previous experience in a leadership position within the retail and customer service industry.
Knowledge of basic optics.
Knowledge of current store merchandise.
State License (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states.
Brand Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program.
